This is home to most of my writing (novel work, excepted). Subscribing to my newsletter, Postcard-from-Monadnock, is free, as is access to my other musings (Columns and Other Essays) on rural life in the Monadnock region of New Hampshire, notably my Off the Highway column, which has appeared in Peterborough's Monadnock Ledger-Transcript since 2022.

The Fiction Workshop section hosts my short fiction--published, unpublished, and, when it seems useful, and right, in progress. The section is available with a paid subscription ($5/mo, or $45/year), reflecting the interactivity I hope to provide to readers who want to be more involved with my writing process and ambition for my fiction pieces.

About me

For thirty-five years, I was an advertising sales and media executive. In 2011, my wife and I purchased the Hancock Inn, New Hampshire's oldest inn, which we ran until 2022. Today, I write full-time, fiction, plus essays about rural life in Southern New Hampshire.
